'''Gold''' is a resource in ''{{gamename}}''. Gold is used for building and repairing buildings and cities and recruiting soldiers. It is obtained from gold mines and cities with trading improvement.
It is essential to keep the coffers of the kingdom full to be able to build, repair and improve cities and roads and to recruit new units.
Gold is obtained from gold mines but also from the cities with the trading improvement. A mine within a 3-tile range from a blacksmith increases its production by 50%. Connecting it by a dirt road increases the production by 100% and by paved roads by 150%.
Gold reserves can be controlled by regulating birth rate support or the number of units that require high maintenance fees. More gold resources can be acquired by conquering foreign cities or gold mines. In the worst case, you can ransack your own cities.
